Arguably, the finest upright piano available. For this ultimate quality piano we offer an option of two different actins. a) The magnetic repetition action which has the feel and performance of a grand action which is achieved by high power magnets inserted in the escapement mechanism. b)A standard upright action. These pianos challenge all other quality makes in terms of superb sound and tonal colour. We recommend either of the two grand simulation actions for all pianists of Grade 5 and above. There is a small price premium for the grand simulation actions.

Steingraeber Baby Grand and Steingraeber Phoenix 168 (Model 168 new) £poa plus VAT

Nearly all pianists class this model as the best baby grand in the World. It is made from the finest materials by leading craftsmen. It has exceptional bass sound for a piano of its size. The tail of the piano is wider than on other competitor makes. This allows a bigger soundboard area and a more flexible bass bridge response. The piano was recently played by one of the World's top pianists who expressed astonishment at its performance. We now stock it in two builds. A standard version and a piano with no frills case which is about 15\% cheaper. Both are priced very competitively compared with other makes of comparable workmanship though none of thelatter matches the Steingraeber for sound quality.

This is the Phoenix version of the famous boudoir Steingraeber which gives the instrument extra power and sustain which can be compared with that of a concert grand two feet longer. The bridge agraffes were specially developed to increase the efficiency of conversion of finger energy to sound energy. Artists comment that this piano is easier to play because less effortis needed to produce a big sound. The impression is of playing a piano with a very exceptional action.

Steingraeber (E 272 Demonstration) £67000

Black Polyester finish. This piano was used by Steingraeber for two years for recital and recording demonstration. it is being offered at 20% discount and is now about 4 years old. It has two actions, a) conventional Renner and b) the new rotating roller knuckle action pioneered by Steingraeber. These can be interchanged in about 2 minutes without need for re-regulation.
